Daniel and Luce are together. But there's a war raging. In order to keep her safe, Daniel takes Luce to Shoreline, a school for mortals and Nephilim. Cam and Daniel declare an 18 days truce, during this time many enemies are out to kill Luce, for good. While at Shoreline, Luce starts to question her life and relationship with Daniel. He won't share details and she can't remember them.
This book definitely had it's funny moments (like how Luce and Daniel's story is told and is somewhat of a legend). Dawn and Jasmine are truly funny. Nice to see some of the other angels, Aryanne, Gabbe, Molly (who surprisingly likes Luce's roommate). The ending for me was definitely a surprise!
