This was a book I picked up on a whim. As a general rule, I don't read fairy stories. Don't like them, don't like fairies. In fact there's only been one series of fairy stories that I truly do like. This story was blah. The main character (Emma) wants to be a dragon slayer and follow in her deceased mom's footsteps. When she gets the title of "fairy slayer" she tries everything she can to change her principal's mind. This was a slow read and one that I should have just left on the shelf.
